The peak of summer is here and now is the time to get out on the water. Today’s crew chose the 4HR Fluke Trip in the bay, landed 1 Keeper Fluke just under 20” and reeled up approximately 17 Shorts. Also had a few dog fish and sea robins in the mix. All and all a great day bending rods and putting a little meat in the cooler. Hope to see you all out there!

Had a great crew today. Our 6 hour bay trip started at 9am and we had the high tide at noon so we got the best of both tides. Very first drop, first bite, and first fish was a 21” Fluke. After that we had roughly 15 Shorts ranging in size from 10”to 17” giving the guys lots of action. Tide died out from noon to about 1-130pm. Once it started picking up again the bite turned back on and low and behold the Blues finally arrived to our area with perfect eating larger cocktail size chomping our spearing. Now that things are heating up its only going to get better so you all need to get out there!

Hey Everyone, Spring is here and that means the Striped Bass are starting to hit the deck. This mornings trip was all about making the report, not chasing it. Took the solo ride to Jamaica Bay from the home base of Island Park and after a few min of bird watching it was game on. There was plenty of hits and ultimately landed 3 fish in about an hour and a half on the “Ole Flutter Spoon”, first one was under at 27”, then an over at 32” and lastly a slot fish at 30”. Put the slot in the cooler and made it back to Island Park area with a nice tail wind in a record 50min. Fishing is all about the grind but every once in a while things line up real nice and it makes it all worth it.

Today was a day for the books, headed out early and after a little, very vital intel, we were hooked deep into a bunch of quality fish. Collectively we brought in 8-10 Stripped Bass in about 3 hours. All of which were “overs”, shortest was 34 inches and a few were well over 40 inches. All were released for another day, and another angler. After the arms were sore we decided to come in and do some TOGin, also did decent with around 6-8 shorts on the green crabs, very tricky but lots of fun. What a great day!

Finally got out today for a quick trip after a decent break due too bad conditions contributed by Hurricane Erin. The ocean in the area has been stirred up pretty good, with water clarity being very murky and reports from other boats not being so great but low and behold, first drop and the bite was on, we had close to 20 short Fluke/Seabass and this nice size straggler of a Bonito. Fish in the box so no complaints here... Great job guys!

August 11th was a great day full of bent rods. Sean came aboard for a last minute Reef trip where we went round robin to a few of the areas reefs trying to find that keeper fluke for the table. After a full day of short action, roughly 35-40 throwback Fluke, Seabass, Searobins and Croakers, Sean made the grind all worth it reeling in this 23.5” Fluke in about 50 feet of water. He was using his light action rod with a high low rig and large gulp. Nice work bud!
