Last minute decision by charter to get big fish ! We usually leave the dock 4-5 am,6:30 am as we pull off the dock. So a bit of a late start for offshore fishing! We arrived to the fishing grounds and it looks good,birds, bait,a few big fish marks. Aftter working the area for about an hr, we moved out a bit deeper, found some whales! A great thing when looking for big tuna! I worked the area around the whales. Fish on! I hear the mate scream! Line screaming off the rod! I keep the boat at trolling speed for a bit to see if we can get a double! After about a good 1/2 he fight we got him on deck! Get boat clean and start to put spread back out ,charter says head home !

It was a windy forecast, i pre warned the charter it is going to be rough out there! They said we can handle it! So we headed out the bay to our first fishing area. We set out a trolling spead and were on the prowl for some blue fish! After about 30-45 Min we sent it to another area ! As we arrived it’s looking fishy! We had birds, bait, and fish marks on the finder. No bites! Stuck with it and finally the fish began to feed..Fish on!! Working same areas and the bite is steady! Never give up !

Ran way out to the towers offshore. When we arrived we were marking fish and could see them. We tried everything for a few hrs and couldn’t get a bite! Ran to another spot same thing,?! Went back to the first spot and they were ready to eat! Had a great afternoon battling amber jack and pulling up some nice sea bass!

The wind forecast was not good for Sunday, i got a last minute call on Saturday night to fish on Sunday! I discussed the conditions and we went for it ! It wasn’t as rough as the weather man had forecast! The fishing was on !!

So we had a perfect weather forecast, so we decided to head offshore last minute! We went on my friends small boat ,because it was near perfect weather conditions! So we arrived at the edge and set out a trolling spread. We searched and searched finally got a nice tuna on! Fish in the box for dinner! Re set the spread after a few more hours and no luck we pulled in the fishing gear! Just as we got all the gear put away to head in , we see tuna jumping in front of boat ! So we got the light tackel out and cast and jigged up fish for a few hours until we were just exhausted! Thats what its all about !
