We started the afternoon trip casting at Speckled trout. Then got a call from a friend about a good drum bite, so we got in on the action ??? Cut mullet for the win again!!!

Looking for a sight casting trip this April on the Outer Banks of NC!?

Mid to late April offers an excellent time here on the Outer Banks, to kick the summer off right! We cruise down to either Hatteras or backside Oregon Inlet, chasing what some folks call Redfish but here locally better know as Drum. I’m not too partial on what you call them, I call them a blast!! We primarily cruise the shallow, clear water beaches in search of a school that we can sightcast to. Casting metal spoons and custom Meathog bugtail jigs usually get it done. It’s a ton of fun and I really hope some of you out there are able to come join in on the party. Give us a shout here on Fishingbooker and we’ll get ya hooked up???
