Half day fishing is producing gag grouper like this. The gags are out of season but if you never had the chance to hook one nows the time. 12 like this came over tge rail today along with a handful of red grouper. Over 70 fished of different kinds made it back to the dock with each angler going home with some great eaten fish to enjoy !!

Grouper were waiting for is today. Action from the start was great. 5 gag grouper to start out with less then 15 minutes along with some smaller reef fish mixed in. Its catch and release gag grouper but we can keep the red grouper and scamp grouper so you still have a shot at taking a grouper home. We had one flounder in the mix and one big one that is just a fish story now as it slit the hook just as it was coming over the real The grey snappers were hungry. ( white grunt ) and they would take a piece of squid as soon as it hit the bottom. Now that the water is cooling down fishing is only going to get better. Remember you cant hook it til you book it. Picked up a few nice spanish mackerel on the way out to the reef area. Good to see them. The fishing is only going to pick up better each week. Wont be long before the bigger king fish show in our area. Nice way to add a few fish in the box trolling on the way out. The tide was not moving that much off the start so we decided ti drift. Thats when fishing took off for us. Lots of white grunts came over the side and some red grouper got in on the action. The red grouper were to small to keep but are fun to catch. Catch and release gag grouper should be red hot starting im October. I seen a few show already and its only going to get better. Remember you cant hook it to you book. Beginner ?? No problem. Nice group today enjoyed flat seas and hungry fish. Lots of under size grouper came over the rail today. They managed to catch a dozen hog fish today with half if them legal size to take home. Loads of white grunts or locally called grey snappers. Capt Brandon reported that at least over 130 went home to eat today. The anglers today enjoyed catching well over 250 fish for the day
