Fresh Fishing Reports from Salmon Point Boat Launch

Finally the weather is getting nice and the fish are getting bigger! The next few weeks we should be seeing some good numbers of spring salmon along with the size getting larger. Soon May will be here and that's when you want to be fishing in these waters! The big runs of spring (Kings) start to come through and Ling cod and rock fish open and we start to see a few Halibut come in! Prime time trips are selling out fast but there is still room in May!!

Good number of smaller but fun to catch Chinook(King) salmon are bighting now and should really improve in April in size! April is a great time to book a full day of fishing in our area. Start the day off dropping traps for delicious Prawns, then spend the day catching salmon!

What anglers said about fishing in Salmon Point Boat Launch

Fishing in May is a bit slower than July or August but it is not crowded. The pace of life is slower and the crowds are smaller which is what we wanted. We did not expect to Catch a large amount of fish but wanted the experience of fishing for salmon and being on the spring waters. Chris was a great guide and nice person to meet and fish with in the future. Had a good day and look forward to many meals from our salmon in the summer months ahead!
