Another great day for fishing

Closed for 20 months of lockdown. The first fish of the week

Went out in search of gamefish after not having much luck the first day. First fish of the day John snagged a marlin. Still on the first, the second marlin caught the other hook. The reeling and running was on.Tagged and released. Fished on and got the trifecta of mahi mahi, yellow fin and wahoo.

Night fishing !!! She gets down to 14 degrees ... It's cold for us here now . Potatoe cods and Spangled emperor have been on bite during these cooler nights . Elders said these fish love these cooler seasons . I don't mind taking a few of youse out and giving the experience of the old "Fijian style of Fishing" during the night . Attached are a few pics of our catches of "FULL NIGHT"fishing . We caught a sail fish on elctrics "bit of a surprise"at 200m . Young fellas were happy with the catch , so did the grand pa holding on to the rods for them ...

260 kg blue marlin on a 24 kg , 2 guys on board ... 15 ton , Zikr rocked a bit ... But it was all worth it by the end of the day ... Took us 6 hours because she nosed down deep to 650 meters . Nearly got spooled in choppy weathers but the guys didn't give in ... So did we !!! Wanna know the secret ??? High quality braided lines !!! Hi guys , there's some good fish out here (55 km of denarau , and 35 k's of Cloud Break). What we need is some keen fisherman like the guys above who don't mind a bit of chop and I don't have a problem putting you on that BIG ONE . The migration of game fish to Fiji (45 to 85 kg Yellowfin tuna , Bull mahi mahi from at least 12 to 32 kilos , wahoo from 8 to 40 kilos ) IS NOW . You just can not predict under which bird is the Giant blue marlin . BECAUSE THEY THERE ALRIGHT . "Up till mid of March " ... We'll have a special deal starting from 2 days to 5 based on daily trips on Zikr . 4 hour trips are for beginners ... I am after some serious fisherman with less experience willing to spend for an experience of life time . BRING IT ON FOLKS . FIJIS THE PLACE FOR YA ..... Regards Captain Bob
