If you book the Cape Escape or any of the boats Hector and crew offer, you will have an amazing trip! If its your first time sea fishing, even for experienced boaters/fishers it's a good idea to bring Gravol or other meds for motion sickness.

We have fished cancun in July 3 times over the last few years, we have had heavy action days followed by slower days. That's fishing, always hard to say what's going to give you a chance out there.

get to the marina early an hour if possible because of Uber cancellations and the security at the marina and the distance from the gate to the boat and leave time to run a credit card over a phone. also take two Dramamine at least two hours before and plenty of sunblock.

A longer trip is necessary for the sportfishing because the time of the run out is more than an hour. Also, be careful of the wave conditions, even in a 40' vessel we still had a rough ride, and some of the party were seasick.

Make you you take non drowsy dramamine even if you don't think you'll get sick also don't forget to drink water and wear sun protection a hat and sunglasses!

Take even more precautions than we did to not get sea sick!! * We didn't drink the day before, took Dramamine the night before and the morning of and still got sick, unfortunately! Yet, the crew was amazing understanding!! I wish I knew their secrets to not get sick!!

It was a windy day, and as we expected, the water was choppy. No one in our group has problems with motion sickness, but this would not have been a trip to take if you did.
We were told that December was slower than other times of year, but we had plenty of action.
