La pêche est une expérience avant tous. Pêcher un gros poisson avec un matériel de professionnels, c’est formidable et change complètement l’expérience. De très beau défi !! Et ceux qui pense que la pêche est pas un sport. On a travaillé fort pour pêcher nos 2 super poissons. Wahoo et Tuna !! Le capitaine et son équipe était formidable et très passionné de son métier.

If big game fishing then these are once in a lifetime fish if you are lucky enough to get one. It's not guaranteed. If you want more chance of any fish maybe try mixed fishing trip

Stay in Calheta as the roads can get busy so a taxi from Funchal is not cheap and takes a fair while on the way home.

It's a bit hit and miss this time of year, it would seem. Depends on the bait and if the squid and mackerel are in. Was a pleasure to see a shoal of juvenile Marlin and had 2 different species of Amberjack.

There are a great many boats operating in Funchal, so it may be hard to choose one, I really think fishing for 4 hours in the morning with Madeira Sight Casting is the best option, you have a good chance of catching with them, far better than hour after hour of mindless and very expensive trolling and the fish you do catch can still be quite spectacular
