If big game fishing then these are once in a lifetime fish if you are lucky enough to get one. It's not guaranteed. If you want more chance of any fish maybe try mixed fishing trip

Flipper II Madeira
Don't book a small boat, ocean can get swells if wind is from the wrong direction. Tuna season in June can be exceptional as they like the colder water. Spear fish and marlin show up ounce the water is above 20-21, around July.
Just remember. "some days are for the fish, some days are for the fishermen"

If your time allows, you should book an 8-hour -hour fishing trip as opposed to a 4-Hour trip. This gives the Captain and crew more time to get to the places you need to be to catch fish. It just gives them more time to get you on the fish.

Try your catch afterwards at the restaurant at the dock. cost is about 10 euro and they served it with side dishes for this price. Listen to the crew as they are extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to help and make the experience a pleasure and most of all enjoy

Strongly recomend the Reef Fishng during the winter, but after june the Giant Bluefin tuna arrive and give you a figth of your life..... anf then Augusto to Outober the Blue Marlin and The White Marlin are arround.... best option.... Aquasares Fishing Charters and Mandrake Fishing Charters

Book for four. Boat is not a huge one but was appropriate for the five of us. Cooler weather in April on the water but the sun was out, so we wore jackets and layers. Easy to remove a layer rather than wish you had more.

Would recommend a full day excursion. The fish were there, we just had a time constraint that prevented us from hooking more. Big game fishing for serious fishermen, bring your muscles! Experience worth the cost.

We didn't have a bite but we saw 3 different species of whales and 100s of dolphins. The day before they only had one bite but reeled in a 100kg tuna.
