The striper bite has been phenomenal. Cool mornings and warm afternoons make being on the Sacramento river even more enjoyable. So far finding the honey hole has not been a challenge. Everyone has limited out each and every day on my 20’ Jetcraft boat. We’re fishing live minnows, or trolling lures with K Brock Trailer tails in white. The water is a bit stained still but that hasn’t slowed the Striped Bass from finding our minnows, or lures! Limits have been the rule every day! We had a great time on Sunday. Stripers did not disappoint even with the NCGASA Striper Derby day and very heavy boat traffic. Using live bait we found many hungry Sacramento River Striped bass near Colusa Ca. We kept only The larger ones and released the rest to go and grow for the years to come.
