Fresh Bradenton Beach Fishing Reports

At Fish Ami we have been catching a ton of redfish trout and snook! Mangrove snapper are still prevalent near structure, and the opening of Red Grouper and Lane snapper are fastly approaching.

Snook and red fish bite are going excellent in July. Lively baits are key. Super fun bite.

Snook, cobia, and sharks have been the fish to talk about these past couple weeks on the reefs. Chumming and freeling live baits on top of the water has produced the cobia and snook while fishing dead and live bait on the bottom has been catching the sharks. Snapper fishing has slowly been picking up and only expectes to get better as we get into summer. If youre looking to targer larger fish this is the time to go fishing!

Caught inshore near Anna Maria Island

We set out at 7:30 am loaded with live shrimp and frozen bait for our nearshore trip. Seas were calm and we made it to the first area about 7 miles off the coast in about 20 minutes. The action didnt take long to fire off with lots of trriggerfish and throwback grouper coming over the rail. Looking to bring home fish for dinner we repositioned on the reef and dropped our baits back to the bottom. Almost instantly we were bringing up the same species but with legal mangrove snapper and sheepshead mixed in. We decided to stay where the action was and piece together a nice box. We weeded through the thrownbacks and managed a nice haul by the end of the trip. Staying on the same reef allowed us more time catching and less time riding. Mangrove snapper, sheepshead, key west grunts, triggerfish and hogfish are the targeted meat species for the next few weeks eith mackerel starting to show as the water warms

The wait is over the kings have been showing up in big numbers the last few weeks on our nearshore trips also lots of Cobia mixed in .
