Sometimes the fish are there, sometimes they are not. They were then when we went. We probably caught 35 Mangrove Snapper, several Yellowtail, Blue Racers, a Macherel and landed two Cobia. great day!

probably not gonna get mahi or wahoo, expect snapper, cobia, grouper n some blacfin tuna. lot of fish in the ocean

If you want to catch the really big fish, of have a certain fish in mind that you want to catch, just look up when the fish are common and in what month and area the're the most active.
I haven't done a lot of fishing on a boat so any fish was great to catch. I had a great time on the boat and the crew is really kind and also just want you to enjoy the fishing trip.
All in all the trip was great!

The fishing is great, but it is difficult when waters are hot for certain fish. Definitely recommend getting out there and trying regardless!

If given the option to troll of reef fish first, I would opt to reef fish as it may not be as hot during the morning hours as the boat is likely anchored whereas trolling in the afternoon offers a welcomed breeze during those hotter hours.

The half-day reef fishing was a good opportunity to check out the weather, the fishing, and the captain, anticipating the possibility of a follow-on trip. Johnny Maddox Charters was excellent.

Just make sure to go over what you will be doing on your charter. We were supposed to fish then snorkel and we only fished. Fishing only was cheaper than what I picked for our charter and it became all fishing that day. Otherwise it was great.

Yes but check the wind first. I heard it’s better to fish later in the year or around February if you’re trying to catch Mahi. We were not able to catch Mahi because winds were too high.
