Fresh Lake Charles Fishing Reports

Fall fishing is almost here. With winds laid down the trout bite is here! Had white trout and speckled trout and two reds in this box. Also went and caught a few sharks just for fun. Most of the fish were caught on 4horseman popping corks and deadly Dudley rat tails shrimp color and some were caught on 4horseman popping corks and live shrimp. Fishing is going to be great this fall dont miss out!

You never know what might bite the bait! Fishing the ship channel and catching small redfish and black drum to this little guy. A baby ling very rare sight catching one in our estuary it was a cool sight to see.

Set out on catching tripletails but all we found were juveniles on a calm day on the gulf. Near shore fishing we caught redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, and tripletails. Some were caught on artificial and others live shrimp

Its been very windy lately with some days pushing 20-30 mph winds. Some days are better than others. As soon as the winds lay back down fishing will pick back up. Southwest winds makes it difficult to get out of the wind and makes fishing tough.

Took Mr Patrick and his crew out for a half day trip. Took a few spots to find the fish. We lost several big bull redfish but made up with it by catching some good slot sized. Everything was caught on live shrimp and popping corks.

Fishing has been great as you can see we caught pompanos, trout, sheepshead and redfish. Some days are better than others like this day the tide was moving. Most of everything was caught on live shrimp either jigging them on the bottom or paired up with a 4horseman popping cork. Some were caught on plastics with a 1/4 jig head.
