Fresh Wareham Fishing Reports

Due to the Coast Guard Government shutdown we had a slight delay ruining our credentials on Fishing Booker but now we are back! We will be booking Freshwater trips from now until June. In addition our clamming trips will start in June and Crabbing trips shortly thereafter. Here is caps report from the ponds and lakes. Largemouth Bite - It is a little odd this year as the smaller ponds have been on fire with big bass slurping in the morning with the afternoon bite dissipating. It will be a couple weeks until all of Caps secret bog spots are choked out by weeds so if you are on the hunt for a trophy "bucketmouth" from shore now is the time to book. The larger ponds have produced few Largemouth thus far even with an offering of fresh live bait. Pickerel Bite - Traditionally caps smaller ponds have produced monster pickerel; however, this year the numbers are there but the size is not. However the larger lakes/rivers have already produced three pin sized fish. If you just want action and a great fight; targeting the slime darts from caps boat is the trip for you. The edible fish (crappie and perch) - Cap has yet to target Crappie so there is a lack of a report for them; on the other hand, perch have been a consistent bycatch. If you prefer perch over Crappie for tablefair book fast. As the water temps increase they do not taste nearly as delicious. Crappie remain tasty well into late June!

Left bass river harmouth headed out to Monomoy point and started trolling and started hitting stripers immediately. One client had his personal best striper to date.

Went out of Sesuit harbor and fished billingsgate shoal. It was slow for about half hour and then we where doubling up for abut an hour. We continued to catch fish for 2 hours then dicided to head in.

Took boat out of Sesuit harbor. Looking to run some old fuel out of engine. Decided to troll a little and hit bass right from the start. Still plenty of openings on Fishon fishing charters.
