I would highly recommend getting a hold of Brad from Manistee fishing company. he's very knowledgeable on all the different species and migrating species of fish throughout the year in the river. the Manistee River in the landscape is beautiful.

Always On Charters – Saugatuck Lake Michigan
We had an amazing first charter experience. Would recommend going out early at 5:30am. We caught 12 fish (3 people fishing). Captain cleaned and bagged our catch.

Don’t go there if you like a place off the beaten path just a little bit where you can slay salmon and steelhead out on the Big Lake and/or fish the huge protected White Lake for perch, bass, walleye, and trout and having the best fishing trip ever.

Dirty Hooker Sport Fishing Charters
There is a lot of weeds in late August so the trip can be a bit hecktic for the captain and mate trying to keep the lines clear, but with the weather we had, well worth the trip.

i think the captain said it's probably the last week of the bass season there. it was very windy and choppy. we had a great time though so i cant complain.
