Jaime and Josh tore these fish up yesterday! ? Neither had ever caught a Smallmouth before but they both got 5lbers by the end of the day!

The fall smallmouth bite is starting to heat up out here! The Zappa crew had a heck of a day drop shoting big smallies for a final bag of around 23lbs with the largest fish coming in at a thick 21" long!

Dinner is served!

The panfish bite is staying strong! ? We wanted a fish fry for dinner, and within an hour, we had plenty for a grease bath. The crappies and bluegills have moved out to their summer haunts, romaing vast weed beds that offer main lake access. Casting a jig and bobbers have both been doing really well. We have started to see an uptick in the trolling bite recently and only expect it to get better as we get into July.

The deep summer bite has officially kicked off, and we couldn't be happier about it! ? Mud flats are a great place to target big walleyes, and it's really tough to beat doing it with a slip bobber and a leech. The fish are actively roaming these expansive flats feeding on bugs, perch, and tullibee. This is my favorite bite of the year, and it's only just beginning! ? Book a trip and let's go hunt some biggs!

What anglers said about fishing in Isle

Such a beautiful place. The east side is nicer than the west and quieter. Hunters Point Lodge is the likely place we will book next time. Greta places for breakfast and home cooked meals. Tutts is a legit bait shop that you have to stop at! The deals are amazing. $299 par of rain pants cost me $50. Not the most organizer store but that because the amount of stuff is crazy.
