Fresh Kendall Fishing Reports

Another solid trip with a great group of guys. Found some brown trout in close first thing in the morning on this trip, after an hour of that, we quickly changed gears for salmon, and in no time were doubled up on Kings. Mixed box of fish, kings, brown trout, and lake trout

Another solid trip this past Saturday aboard the Small Fortune. Found an aggressive school of salmon early in the trip, and it was all we could do to keep up with the fish for almost 2 hours. The bite slowed after awhile, and as predicted they got hungry late morning and started chewing again, producing 5 more bites at the end of the trip. Fish are getting bigger too, our biggest was 19lbs, but I know of a couple fish that were caught this weekend that were over 20lbs. Radar earned it's money this weekend helping us to find our way through the fog, and avoid our friends in other boats on the water. Mixed box of fish again this weekend, kings, browns and a coho salmon. Heard of some bigger fish caught this weekend in the 20 lbs. class. I'm sure that trend will continue as more schools of bait fish move in from offshore. Still got a few open dates left on the calendar for May, if you're interested in a trip book soon before they are taken. Also my summer dates are filling up quickly, but the week of July 4th is still available.

Solid fishing trip yesterday on Lake Ontario. Great mixed bag of fish, kings, Lakers, browns and 1 Atlantic. It’s going to be another good season again this year.

The summer fishing is setting nicely, we are being nice catches of kings and steelhead to the net. Kings up to 20lbs and steelhead I the 4-10lb range. Some lake trout in the mix as well, with one laker we caught a couple nights ago tipping the scales at 21lbs. Things should continue to stay good along with the nice summer weather, lots of dates left in Augtrust for fishing trips.

Just a quick report to get everyone looking forward to the official start of the spring fishing. With the mild winter weather and open launches some folks are getting out on the water and catching good numbers of brown trout along the shore line in shallow water. These are the same hungry fish we will be targeting in April once the Small Fortune splashes for the 2017 season. Most of the fish being caught are in the 3-6lb range, with a few fish over 10lbs being boated. These browns make up in numbers and fight for what they lack in size, and are blast to catch on our light spring tackle. For those that are looking for fish for the frying pan, these guys sure make a tasty dinner. For those looking for trophies, there are few other places to go where you would have a chance at boating a 15+ pounder. I will hopefully be out on the water myself in the next couple weeks for some preseason action, and I will post a report then.
