Fresh Platter Fishing Reports

We had some good trips and fun times this past week. Had a rain delayed trip that turned into a catch fest. 4 person limit in an hour and fifteen minutes. And father and family with the 11 year old smoking the fish on her first Striped Bass fishing trip. And a catch and release trip that we only kept the ones that swallowed the hook that ended up in my freezer this time. Fishing can’t get much better than it is right now but it will. Water Temperatures are still in the upper 60’s running around 68 degrees when it gets closer to 60 look out. Come join the fun and Hook’em With Louie’s Lures.

Wayland grabbed his first personal best Stripped Bass on this trip after many times coming down to fish this lake. He and his son had a blast. And look forward in coming again. Fishing has been great the lake is up. Weather has been hot so we’ve been going out early in the morning to get them.

We had a two day trip with Tye and family over this past weekend. Frist day was good and a training day on how to catch these Striped Bass. They did well and learned a lot in a short time. They pecked out their limit in about 4 hours. The second day they took from what they learned on the first day, and it was lights out after we waited out the stroms. We got a late start but they got their limit in an hour and a half. Book now The fishing is great.

Fishing started slow but picked up on this perfect weather day. Started with early morning view from the office window. We love this Job.

What a group today we fished bait and threw sassy shad at top water fish. We had a lot of competition on surfing fish so we got out ahead of them and dropped bait. This worked pretty well. We limited out on box fish and went looking for bigger fish. We got set on some and managed to catch a few larger fish. The wind died down and the sun was beating down on us as well. It ended up getting 105 in the shade but when your on this lake there is no shade. All in all a good day of fishing

Had husband and wife group out today with their boys . Started off being a Mother’s Day trip until he landed this brut.
