Great day of fishing. Just remember that your captain can not control the weather. But Captain Dave did a great job on finding a honey hole. Was an awesome trip! Next time we will absolutley book Captain Dave! We caught 4 large spotted trout, 2 flounder and 2 rays, while you don't keep rays, they put up a big fight!!!

Black Diamond Inlet Backwater Fishing
For a June trip- drink water and only water. (no sports drinks). Hydrated very well the day before (once on the boat sip water do not drink). If you plan to take motion sickness medicine, do so the night before. If you plan on wearing long sleeve “fishing gear”, make sure it Columbia because it’s more breathable then other brands. Expect to get wet. Expect very large waves. Sunscreen, sunglasses and hats.

Fishing in Murrells Inlet in May is awesome if you want flounder inshore. If you want to deep sea fish it’s also a great time to but if you want any inshore fish like red drum and speckled trout I’d suggest looking into a different month.
