As with fishing anytime, its always hit and miss. We didn’t have the most success but not for lack of trying. We were still able to pull in 6 decent sized stripers on an unusually slow morning. Other boats in the area were experiencing the same conditions and results so it was just one of those days. Still had a great time out on the water on an abnormally cool (72-80 degree) August morning.

Be prepared for fish that actually fight. River fish such as bass, catfish, etc. Dont hold a candle to the fight you'll have out here. Listen to the captain. And have fun

If you are a fisherman and have certain supplies you like to use because you want to be hands on i.e. gloves, fishing towel, pliers bring those along. The crew is really helpful though so if you don’t want to bring anything extra don’t worry about.

It was a pretty hot day so the fishing wasn’t as high quality as the captain had expected. Likely if the water temperatures were little cooler than 98 we would’ve caught a few more fish. However, some of us fisherman could’ve done better as well!

4 hour trip is great for first time or trip with kids. If fishing with kids recommend staying with the smaller starts the whole time to give them more opportunities to catch different small sharks. Those experienced with charter fishing highly recommend going for 6 hours or long to spend more time trying to catch the large sharks.

Wear sunscreen but wash your hands after application, sharks can smell it and it works like a deterrent unfortunately if you’re touching other things like bait. Also, bring a good tip, they clearly work hard to provide the best experience they can. They moved like 5x for us bc we couldn’t find any at first. They also dragged for bait a couple of times bc we kept catching jellies. They deserve a tip like what you’d give your tattoo artist.
