Huge schools of tasty White Bass arre roaming all over the at Lake Grapevine. These fish are almost done with their annual spawn and are going on a feeding frenzy.These fish fight hard and taste great. Beautiful lake Grapevine has been on fire! Consistent catches of big fat white bass have been the norm for the last week. Great time to get out, enjoy the lake (you may or may not see another boat) and catch a bunch while they are roaming the deep water in large schools. The smaller RSR Lures have been working great while Bobo's Thumper keeps the fish under the boat.

Nate and Chantell brought their boys Andrew and Lucas out for a Christmas break trip and had a blast catching over 50 White Bass. Quite a few were a little small to keep, but 18 went in the box along with a big Crappie. It was a fun late morning to an early afternoon trip. The water temperature was in the mid 50's and was fairly stained. The fish are still holding a shallow in 15 to 17 feet of water. White jigging spoons caught almost all the fish. Winter is always a good time to be out because boat traffic is so much lighter.

Mom brought her son and 3 of his football buddies out for his birthday and had a great time! All of the boys can fish, and that helps a bunch when the fishing is tough. They stuck it out and were rewarded with 32 White Bass, 1 catfish, and 1 Crappie. The water has cooled a bunch, but it didn't seem to affect the fish all that much.
