Fresh Lewisville Fishing Reports

Had Ben out for a morning trip on Monday. Since he was in from Wisconsin and had no way to transport his catch back home it was a catch and release trip. The day started out great considering the post frontal conditions and Ben brought in his personal best crappie. The wind shifted around 10 am and the bite got a little tougher but we managed 15-20 nice keepers and about as many throwbacks. It was about half and half on jigs and minnows but the jig bite is getting stronger and stronger.

Richard and his group came out for their annual get together for a little crappie fishing. Short 3 hour trip started out a little slow but we finally hit the magic pile right before time to go in. Ended up with 17 keeper crappie, a catfish, nice bass and a couple of whites. Best pile was in 13 feet and all fish caught on minnows

Adam brought Malakai out to celebrate his 17th birthday with some crap pie fishing on Lewisville Lake. Started kinda slow and had to make a lot of moves and weed through some smaller fish but did end up with 37 keepers for a birthday fish fry! Heath, JJ and family came out for morning trip and ended up taking home 28 keepers for a fish fry! Only a 3 hour trip today and 7 family members boated fish. Released another 20-25.

Had Kevin out on an afternoon trip and ended up with 32 keepers plus threw back several catfish!
