2026 Red Snapper Season

Hello Anglers, Unbelievable news from Fernandina Beach . Our Florida Governor Ron Desantis held a press conference this morning here at Fernandina Beach, Fl. He and his staff along with FWC and others have been working hard to have control of the Red Snapper fishery along the Atlantic coast of Florida and it is now a reality that we will be having a Red Snapper season like we have not seen in years. Beginning May 22, 2026 thru June 30, 2026 Red Snapper season will be open. Then beginning in October 2026 we will have some weekends. Pipe Dream Charters will be accepting bookings for 2026 Red Snapper Season. These open dates will not last long.

Fishing Report October 2025 The fishing was on fire for the month of October. The water cooled down in the high sixties, and the fish responded. Plenty of Speckled Trout and Black Drum, Redfish were to be had. Lots of slot fish for the dinner table. Live shrimp was the primary bait fished under a cork anywhere from two feet deep to eight feet deep. Oysterbeds and runouts were productive. The jetties some really nice Bull Redfish with cut Whiting being used as bait.

Fish live shrimp on a pink jig head along the jettie. Bump it slow on the bottom. If you aren’t picking them up, speed the retrieval up. Zero hits on mud minnows the whole day. We slammed plenty of slot trout!

I would recommend to anyone be prepared for motion of the ocean! Take motion sickness meds 12hrs before hand or better yet get the patches your doctor can prescribe! Most importantly go ready to have fun and be willing to catch anything! So much fun not going with a set expectation
