May want to bring a light jacket especially for children on early morning trips. The captain can only do so much. Know that just because you charted a boat that doesn't mean you're guaranteed to catch a boat full of fish.

Be open to catching what is biting. If searching for a particular species I would recommend starting with catching what is biting and then search for your particular species toward the end. Captain Charles knows the water and what is biting. Listen to him.

Keep in mind that summertime fishing at the Outer Banks is very hit or miss. Just have fun with whatever time you spend with friends and family while fishing, and look at anything you catch as a bonus to that experience.

Not the best time for bass but Captain did a great job finding bass that where on the bite and helping with gear. We came in after the Hurricane and he had no chance to get out and find them before trip. But found bass and put us on them. The captain stayed in contact with me all through the week leading up to my vacation even though the hurricane was bearing down on the obx. This was much appreciated and answerd any of my concerns. Had a great day and caught fish thank you.
