It’s a little warm in Charleston in July, but there’s still fish out there. The fishing trip was a great break from the beach.

Drumroll Fishing Charters – Folly Beach
We had fun. We did not stay on Folly. Folly was very crowded and a surfing community. We stayed 30 min away. But it was good just to go fishing.

Plenty of fish in the area. Know the tides before choosing your charter times. Wear sun protection all the time really, but critical in the SC summer. Stay hydrated and positive, it leads to less drama and more fun.

Sea Breeze Charters
Fishing from the pier is good the pier is inexpensive and beautiful but doesn’t compare to the size, qty, and variety of fish this charter brought. We caught more and bigger fish in 4 hours than we did in 12 hours on the pier. Also using live bait will yield more fish. But the guide is the thing biggest difference.

Captain Doug was amazing and our kids had an amazing time. We were on 5 different kinds of fish and he helped my daughter hook onto multiple fish... We had a great time and would recommend this for everyone

Beginners would love this trip! Jeffery is so patient and happy to help bait hooks and cast for his guests. He has a ton of knowledge of the area and he placed us where the fish were.

I would recommend people fishing here for the first time to book a Charter with Captain Jeff and Drumroll charters. He has fished here all his life and he knows the waters. I personally like beach and ocean fishing, but the Captain knows how to fish in the rivers and lakes as well. So the short answer is, Yes I would recommend people fish the Folly beach area for there first time.
