Go early and brig sunscreen, hat and glasses. Mike had plenty of water and bait. Bring a camera too, you’d be surprised at all the stuff you see in addition to the fishing. For kids seeing dolphins, a manta ray, Space X boosters etc could be even more memorable than catching fish.

Bring sunscreen and plenty to drink to stay hydrated. Take Dramamine or something similar if you get motion sick. And your forearm is going to be sore the next day from catching the heavy fish ?

Drink after, if chartering a smaller fishing boat. Use the time to learn and understand so that you can do it yourself as well.
