Keep your eyes peeled, you never know what you might see. In the summer in NYC, you can catch humpback whales, dolphins, and apparently loggerhead sea turtles. The marine life in and around NYC seems to be flourishing, our waterways are cleaner than theyโve ever been before.

Utilize fishing Booker for your Fishing Reservation, and utilize our favorite Captain, AUSTIN OUTFITTERS. Coming from KY, staying in Manhattan, and fishing in Brooklyn, we highly recommend reconning your travel routes to and from if youre going to take Subway as a bunch of rookies!!

Midnight Fleet - Midnight Star
Bring your own fishing poles, the pole they provide are good, only issue is they only have โRight Handed Polesโ and they are โBait Castโ poles so it is difficult to cast further than 3-5 feet off the boat. For best results bring a โSpin Cast Reelโ which allows you to cast further out and also helps you not get tangled in other peoples linesโฆ.

Sea Queen VII Fishing
A little slow for the season, but I caught four keeper fluke. The mates really know baits, rigs, and techniques; they will show you jigging styles and baits that catch. There's a lot of different structure and currents in NY harbor, and stuff changes pretty quickly location to location, so each time you switch spots, ask the mates how they would fish that spot.

The fishing experience was great. We went to many different spots and caught a lot of fish. My only negative, the toilet on the boat was not flushing. Ladies, hold it if you can, if you can't, walk with wipes

Do it! I lost count after hooking into 5 bluefish - the smallest was probably about 7 pounds. We landed one small schoolie bass. The fish were coming in fresh from the ocean. The weather was awesome - not too cold, not too hot. I grew up in New York and I had never seen the skyline from that particular angle.
