Fishing was tough across the fleet that day. Wasn't for lack of trying by our Captain. All tricks and a lot of miles were put on trying to get us hooked up.

Big prlagics seem to be out of town, but had some luck with the skipjack tuna.

Phantom Sportfishing
We also fished October 2. We raised a marlin on 9-30, but failed to hook up. Fish at least two days, landing a billfish anywhere takes a few hours on the water. The price to fish Kona is cheap compared to everything else there and you have lures in the water as soon as you leave the marina and weather and ocean are pleasure. Remember sunscreen.

Absolutely great crew and wonderful experience of a lifetime.Capt Rubin and First mate Tito was great. Caught big fish loved every minute of the trip. Super easy to work with well worth the trip

Be prepared for a great time and go out with Seth. He worked hard to find us the best spot and altered his original plans for where we were going based on how the fish were biting to make it the best experience for us. One bit of advice is when reeling in follow what captain says for the right amount of drag, continuous pressure when reeling a fish in and you can have a great time.

Take plenty liquids, itโs hot at sea. On my original review the auto correct put didnโt catch, it should have read DID catch. Great boat, professional crew who worked hard to get us on the fish.

Steady Pressure Sportfishing
Very fishable, leeward water so not often rough or unable to go out due to wind or waves. Good place to blue water fish if succeptible to motion sickness and typically in sight of shore.

Ohana Deep Sea Fishing โ Reel Life
It was my first time deep sea fishing, so take my advice with a grain of salt. Other than heading out early in the morning, Hoku mentioned that the Mahi bloodline bait was really effective at attracting the fish.
