Not every day is a โhigh fish dayโ. Donโt blame anyone if youโre not catching fish. Going fishing and catching fish are two different things. Be prepared that fishing can be slow, but still make it an enjoyable trip. Relax, enjoy the scenery and the fact that youโre on the water, and have good conversation. Laugh a lot.
Then, if youโre catching fish, and itโs a good โcatchingโ day, thatโs a terrific bonus.
Be prepared for weather changes.

It's Lake Superior and Northern Minnesota. Those 2 in combination can create interesting weather at any time. Bring enough clothes to add or subtract as the temps and the wind require. Take some Dramamine with as well if you have a sensitive tummy to waves or if you've not been in big water before. Better safe than sorry

I would highly recommend choosing a boat and Captain that fit your needs. Our Captain was amazing! Communication prior to the trip was phenomenal! He went above and beyond. Allows yourself to truly experience all the lake has to offer and donโt be afraid to ask questions! Wear clothing in layers, pack snacks and enjoy! Itโs a lot of fun!
