Fresh Lane County Fishing Reports

Chinook fishing is still great, and the coho are in thick with excellent catching in coos bay! I have some available dates left. The season ends October 10!

From little coho to big coho and average to bigger chinook is what we are working with this season and it is no disappointment! The action is packed and should only get better this next week as the rain trys to make an appearance.

This morning has been a great so far! Landed this beautiful chinook as the sun was coming up with a few more bites shortly after. Let's hope the next one sticks! Still have a full day of fishing ahead!

The Siletz River is a really starting out great this season! The bite has been on as of this last week and it does not appear to be slowing down! As we move further into the fall, these cooler nights should help slightly with the cooling of the water temps which wakes these fish up to start moving up river plus makes them more active and more willing to bite. For the first week of September we have landed 12 chinook to the boat which is a great sign for the season! We still have another week before we head into the peak season and conditions look great! Don't miss out on a great fishery!

Oregon Coast Salmon fishing has been good for the past few weeks. If you're looking to escape the smoke and enjoy a day in the bay this is the trip for you. Crabbing has been exceptional as well.

This early fall season is off to a great start! There have been catches almost daily and word of mouth on the river is others are experiencing the same thing with this early run as well! Water temps should start to decline in the upcoming weeks as we head into peak season which should only make the fishing better! Don't wait until it's too late to get on the books!
