Fresh Lauderdale Marina Fishing Reports

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.

So far beginning of August has been good for us, we’ve been catching kingfish, black fin tuna, Bonita, mahi-mahi, and in the last week some Wahoos and getting better closer to the full moon for them.

End of July we’ve been catching a lot of Bonitas and in the mix has been kingfish, and the black fin Tuna are starting to show back up for are fall months.

As the days get warmer the action close to the reef continues to improve. Alot of our catch comes from 80-120' of water which is just over a mile offshore. Take advantage of this time of year to get in on the action!

June Fishing Report – Big Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi & More! Fort Lauderdale, FL – What a fantastic month of fishing we had in June! The Blackfin Tuna bite has been hot, with plenty of large fish hitting the deck. Wahoo are starting to show up in solid numbers, and we’ve had some great action with Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin fish) as well. We’ve also seen the occasional Sailfish, keeping things exciting offshore. The weather has been absolutely beautiful—calm seas, sunny skies, and perfect conditions for fishing. There’s been a noticeable increase in baitfish along the reefs, especially Ballyhoo and cigar minnows. That’s a great sign that even more pelagic action is on the way as we move into July. Looking ahead, we’re expecting the bite to keep heating up. July is shaping up to bring more Wahoo, Mahi, Tuna, and who knows what else—now’s the time to get on the water!
