APEX Shark Charters – Fort Morgan/Mobile Bay
make sure you let the captain know your experience level then just bring drinks and snacks some sunscreen and sunglasses. Even if it’s warm, bring some sleeves as the boat rides can be a little chilly.

if you get the opportunity, chase the redfish. We hooked one big one but couldnt land it. It was still a blast!

Red Eye Charters – Lil Red
In March the weather can be iffy, so be prepared for cold and hot in the same day. Layering up worked for us. I have done a lot of open water fishing, but never fishing off of rigs. I really enjoyed it! Reminded me of vertical jigging on my home lakes, just much bigger and stronger quarries.

Please research the boat the Captain uses before booking. That was our bad that one of the members in our group was afraid of the salt water being too close to the boat sides. That was our bad though, no the Captain's fault at all.

Stressed Out Charters
If you are fishing in November in Dauphin Island, make sure you have a windbreaker and winter clothes. The shade and/or wind can make it cold. Redfish and Flounder were what we reeled in. We ended up catching more than the limit of Redfish and started releasing them back.

Check to know what they are catching and know the limits for instance we only had 2 people and were catching Red Snapper so we could only keep 2 fish a piece… Alabama really needs to look at that limit and adjust.
