From what we heard, September is slowing down. We got lucky and caught a couple halibut. If you’re looking for dorado (mahi mahi), do that in July or August.

Follow the Captain’s suggestions, take water, just snacks, layers of clothing and be ready for a fun trip. We took Dramamine the night before and the morning of and we did not experience any sea sickness.

As with any fishing trip, catching fish is not guaranteed and catching nice fish is a bonus. With this trip we caught lots of good fish but not a “trophy” which is fine. If you are after a trophy book a longer trip but if you want to have a great day on the water and catch lots of fish and maybe a few to keep for dinner this is the trip for you!

Less of a traffic fight from Huntington vs Long Beach. Mostly at the end of the trip. Great area to leave from. Long Beach was also a great location though.
