The weather has made it tough to get iut weve had several big coastal storms lately. But seems like every time it does calm down and we slip out inti the ocean the fish are waiting! Lots of big bluefish aling with false albacores and Spanish mackerel. I haven’t been drifting but the shark guys say it’s been good. Sea bass and triggerfish are still on the wrecks we try those on 6 hour trips. I have openings. Lets roll!

Even with the wind, we can still get out

The guy’s that we had today were expecting to go offshore, but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t cooperating so we decided to do an inshore trip. We got our limit of blue fish then on the way in we saw biggest blue fish blitz i have seen in a long time. 8-10 pounders all on top with birds diving for about 30-45 minutes, had to release 10 to 15 because we already had our limit. It was definitely better than staying out the dock

For offshore limit the group to 2-3 fisher people to give a better chance that all will reel in a billfish. Avg was 2-4 per boat. Plan for white marlin and Mahi. Too many sharks for Tuna this time of year and wrong habitat for Wahoo.

We drove down to the marina the day before so we knew exactly where we were going. His boat wasn't there of course but he gave us a pretty good description of where his slip was. We were staying in OBX for the week so we could do that. If you are wondering about cleaning your fish, they have a fish cleaning service right there so you don't have to do it yourself if you don't want.
