Fresh Winyah Bay Fishing Reports

My combo trips for speckled trout and bull reds are LIMITED TO TWO CLIENT TRIPS. Client's should be experienced and proficient with light spinning gear . We'll split the time accordingly fishing for bull reds and trout based on tides and the bite. I do allow speckled trout to be kept and SC has a very liberal limit of 10 trout per angler with a minimum size limit of 14"s.

John and Jim from Virginia caught 20 bull redfish from 15 to 40 lbs with me on 9/19/23. Days with double digit numbers of bull reds will become more common as the water continues to cool down October and November. Water temperatures in September allow us the opportunity to fish for tarpon, big bull redfish and big sharks ALL IN THE SAME TRIP. August is coming to a close and finally the brutal heat spell is ending. Big tarpon showed up and with them the giant bull sharks. Chasing tarpon is always a challenge with win some, lose some but giving 110 % towards just going to battle with a silver king. September will bring slightly cooler daytime and water temperatures along with big bull redfish and more tarpon. The big 3 I guide for will all be in the Bay during September. We don't catch them every day but I give 110 % effort towards catching them every time my boat leaves the dock. Book now for your opportunity. Capt Mike
