Anytime youโre on the ocean fishing in February is a great day. Mahi mahi are my favorite fish but they werenโt in season. We did catch a bunch of other kinds which was awesome.

We were offered in shore or deep sea fishing when we first started. We decided on the deep sea. The weather was awesome.
A good captain or charter will give you options that maybe weather dependant.

Know whatโs in season and understand that if youโre going for wahoo or mahi-mahi itโs a lot of trolling and time between bites. If youโre willing to target the species that are around in numbers (tuna, rainbow runners, jacks, etc) you can have non-stop action. Also bring sunscreen, youโll need it.

Talk to the captain about what you want to catch and what is biting. What I โwantedโ wasnโt realistic, but what I caught I was happy with. The captain knows the area and how to put you on the fish.

Itโs harder work than u think!! Reeling in a shark or anything takes some arm muscle but the captain Eric helped us when our arms failed.

Go to Captain Eric Anaclerio, by far the best. Thereโs a reason he only has 5 star reviews. I thought it was odd but I totally understand now. Donโt regret it book him for your trip. Great with kids or just adults. The best!!!

Take the charter out with Captain Erik. He is amazing and super knowledgeable but also understand that he nor anyone else can predict weather or if the fish are biting.

Watch the winds in March, the water can get rough. We had to reschedule our plans to get the trip in with our other excursions, but it was well worth it.

September is not really dolphin the dolphin month we were told but caught 10. Can't imagine summer, should be awesome. September is wahoo month, 30 to 75lb. range. Grouper and yellowtail were biting
