A guided tour can see you scouring over weed beds, sand flats and channels in search for the highly prized trophy fish. Winter is an often overlooked time of year to hunt for these fish, generally due to our Tasmanian climate being a little cooler. However boat traffic is often very quiet this time of year and the river can produce thumping big and well conditioned models around the 60cm mark and 1.3kg.
