Trip Summary

We took our fish at 15-20 foot depths on this hot July day. Most were taken by trolling crankbaits at 1.5 - 1.7 mph. In addition to those caught, several big fish were lost before they could be boated.

Jeffrey got his two personal bests (12 inch black and 13 inch white ) crappie trolling crankbaits on Chickamauga today. Fishing was slow (except for white and yellow bass) with just a few smaller crappie, bass, and catfish.

The early morning bite was almost non-existent, but the fish turned on (unexpectedly) about noon. Surface water temperature was 87-88 degrees and all fish were taken at 16-22 foot depths over deeper bottoms.
