Trip Summary

We kicked off the day with steady mahi action — solid fish around 10 lbs, keeping everyone busy and excited. As we trolled our way back in, a nice-sized blue marlin showed up and gave us a wild aerial show. It was the perfect ending to the trip, and the whole family was all smiles — exactly what they were hoping for!

After picking up a few mahi on live bait near a FAD (Fishing Aggregating Device), we headed back toward the harbor to drop off our guest. On the way in, we switched it up — fast trolling at 10 knots with lures. Suddenly, boom — hookup! A fat 100 lb yellowfin smashed the spread, and Mason was loving every second of the fight. A true trophy fish and a moment to remember.

After a slow start to the morning, we managed to land a solid solo wahoo while trolling offshore. Just as we were about to call it a day, I noticed a strong mark on the fishfinder — thought it might be a marlin… but surprise! We hooked into a 100 lb yellowfin tuna in the last 10 minutes. What a way to end the trip — no complaints here! ?
