Trip Summary

Yesterday had a 3 hr father son and fishing was tough. Had a couple nice bites and landed one nice Pacific Halibut. The water was 72 degrees which is perfect but some strong currents pushed the fish into hiding. Tomorrow is a new day- literally every hour of fishing out here can be completely different as is the weather. Fish on compadres!

The ROCKENREEL had 3 charters today. This morning's bite started out with a nice Barracuda on the first cast immediately. The third catch was a nice White Sea Bass followed by a couple dozen more Calico Bass, one Sand Bass and a ton of big Barracuda. Tomorrow Captain Noah is scouting Catalina for 10 hours on the Scarab and I'm targeting Big Makos on a 10 hour and I will drop for Swordfish followed by a local twilight trip for WSB. Fish on.

Two Makos on a 4 hr charter today.One female Mako Shark released safely- we have the right equipment- hook pulleys, steel and wire cutters and we use hooks and steel leaders that dissolve within a couple days in the salt water to protect species. BASS and Barracuda everywhere and biting! Sculpin, Halibut and other species also in the mix. Great fishing right now.

Took Father Sons on a quick 2 hour. We trolled for 45 minutes and nailed 4 Pacific Makeral that we were going to use for shark bait but instead we toured the coast and hung out with hundreds of dolpins- two types and lots of different pods. Our 47 Jersey "S.S.TARTAR SAUCE" landed a Mako Shark Today.
