Trip Summary

A cold start today, but didn't seem bother the fish. Trolling crankbaits and jigs at 0.9 - 1.2 mph accounted for more than 50 fish (5 species), mostly crappie (to 14.75 inches) and white bass (to 17 inches). All fish were released, so end-of-day bfish photo. The largest crappie earned Chris a Tennessee Angler Recognition Program (TARP) certificate.

Today's high was 73 degrees and the water temperature was 55 - 57 in response to spring-like temperatures over the past couple of days. Today's catch included crappie (to 13+ inches), white bass (to 17 inches), yellow bass, largemouth bass, and drum. More than 40 fish landed, but all but the largest were released.

A beautiful day on Lake Chickamauga yielded a variety of species, including some nice 13-14 inch crappie. All fish were trolled using jigs and crankbaits trolled at 12-16 foot depths over submerged creek flats in 18-20 FOW.
