Trip Summary

The weatherman promised 5–10 knot winds today, but Mother Nature had other plans! Shifted our trip with Mr. Paul Newman inshore to play it safe. The pivot paid off—he boxed a nice catch of trout and redfish before the weather finally called game over. You can’t control the weather, but you can always catch fish! Respect the water, stay safe, and put fish in the cooler. Tight lines! ?

Ricky, Stalia, and Will headed down for a weekend getaway, and we kicked things off right by picking them up directly at their rental home dock this morning. The action started the second line hit the water! We were slamming redfish and speckled trout left and right—boating plenty of nice keepers while letting the smaller ones live to fight another day. Weather kept us from heading offshore today, but George and his grandkids made the absolute most of it in the back country. They put a beating on the redfish today—keeping their limits and releasing dozens more for next time. Add in a handful of solid keeper trout and some drag-screaming Jack Crevalle, and they’ve got plenty of fresh catch for dinner tonight and breakfast tomorrow!
