Redfish Stacked in the Reeds

Conditions were tough in Grand Isle last night, with dirty water and poor visibility making bowfishing difficult. We covered plenty of water and worked hard for every opportunity. We did have the one that got away—a good one that gave us a shot but managed to escape. That’s bowfishing; some nights the conditions just don’t cooperate, but we still enjoyed a night on the water with Marsh Monster Charters.

Bite started off slow, but we moved locations and found them stacked in the reeds. The change of scenery made all the difference, and we got into the fish pretty good!

Had a great day fishing the Louisiana marsh with Omar and his veteran crew. The redfish bite made us work for them, but we stayed after it and put some quality fish in the boat. Our Lafitte fishing charters put anglers in the heart of the Barataria Basin, just outside New Orleans. Always an honor having our veterans aboard and sharing a day on the water!
