Trip Summary
Well it is Roctober! Hard to believe summer went by that fast! I had hoped to have a report last weekend for you. But the NorEaster put the clamps on that for sure. I saw bouys record waves over 4 feet. But any way we have dates available for October,November, and December. It is definitely fall as bay water temps are down in the high 60s to 70. The fish are starting to school up. There are fish in the shallows and schoolong up chasing bait under birds. This is 1 of my favorite times of the year to fish. Stripers are chasing bait and fattening up for winter. Bluefish are exiting the bay. The Spanish mackerel are pretty much gone there may be a straggler or2. Some speckled trout and puppy drum in the shallows on occasion. Best light tackle time of the year. We will be trolling and casting and jigging. It all depends on the weather and tides. We light tackle troll and troll deep when needed. I use both techniques or just 1 or the other. It all depends on the fishes mood that day. Book a trip folks before it’s too late, the holidays will be here before you know it.
