Trip Summary

Had an awesome time today fishing in not so awesome weather. We managed to stay dry for most of the day. Started the day off going 1-1 on tarpon and got a nice surprise from a gag grouper in the mix. Also caught some nice over slot redfish as well. Had clients Tim and Grandson Chase from Pennsylvania today fishing. They were true die hard fisherman. They were not about to let the weather stop them. Great day on the water with awesome clients. Fish are still chewing. Bite was a little slow today for us but managed to get on a huge school of big big redfish. Caught a total of 5 and everyone of them were over 34". The biggest today was 39". Had my clients Jason and family today from Canada and they were done after 5 big bruisers. We ended up going trout fishing after that and had a nonstop bite. Bite is still good in the Tampa bay. Was nice to finally get out after all the rain. Had an awesome day with Paul from England-Chicago today with his family also. Went to try and catch a permit and got literally spooled by one. Only permit bite this morning. Caught some nice mangos, triple tail and lost a huge barracuda. Then pushed back inshore and caught some snook to cap the day. Very hot and flat calm all day.
