Trip Summary

Americana Sportfishing client Ron Dupre, fishing with Bobby McGuinness on the 37ft Cazador, enjoyed great Blue Marlin action. About 13-14 miles outside Golfo Dulce, they encountered a school of Marlin just after 11 AM. Before the day was done, they had raised about 15, hooked nine, and released three in an exciting full day of satisfying fishing.

Americana sportfishing clients Sonya Penley and her family came down to Golfito from Playa Nicuesa Lodge to spend July 4 on the Cazador with Captain Bobby McGuinness, and released a Sailfish. Then they caught 14 Grouper, enough for a great Independence Day dinner, and then more.

Peter Narbonne and his buddy were on a overnighter with Captain Bobby McGuinness (photo) on the 37ft Cazador on February 21 and 22. Water was warm, so although they saw lots of fish, the fish weren't biting. Day 1 yielded a Striped Marlin and two ‎Sailfish‬ releases; Day 2: 7-8 Sailfish and a Yellowfin Tuna.
