Going into it, we knew we would likely not be hooking up to a lot of fish because we were exclusively going for sailfish or marlin. Hooked onto one awesome sailfish!

Hit and miss but the big days are big and the slow days are slow. You need to keep at it. Lots of fish out there! You can literally see them bubbling in the water.

Hooked Up Sportfishing Costa Rica
Great for first time fishers for sure. Though, our group members had all fished before, he was very patient and could not see a problem.

The marina was really nice and easy to get to using Waze. There was a secure parking garage and the shops were nice and the dock area very well maintained. Parts were newly constructed We were impressed!

Communicate with the captain before going fishing so they can make sure and bring all the supplies you want or need for the type of fish you are wanting to catch (pending what is biting). Also if you're staying at a resort, they may not have breakfast ready until after you've left to go fishing so as your captain if they can bring breakfast, drinks and so on.
