Trip Summary

We got three nice bonitos today including this double on light tackle drifting live pilchards through some breaking birds after trolling was a bust. The bottom bite was slow so we ended the trip catching some Jack's in the canals on the way in. The night bite just after dusk has been great for snapper and mackerel the pic above was from Friday night.

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.

The mahi bite has been great on most days the weather allows the trip offshore. If you want to catch mahi make sure to book a 6hr trip because there is a good bit of travel offshore. Also king mackerel, tuna, and bonitos on the reef. Bottom fishing for snapper and more has been hot as well.
