Trip Summary

We went out for a full day trip. The weather was cloudy. After an hour out nothing caught so we tried to go more south where we saw 2 boats already in the area. We noticed the presence of birds so we changed the technique with the intention of catching some yellowfin tuna. It did not work for the tuna but we caught 2 mackerel bonitoes. We went back trolling with the big lures. After one more hour we came back to the same spot as another fisherman told us through the vhf radio that the tuna have started bitting. We started catching one after the other. Hooked a dorado too but the hook went off behind the boat. We were back with 7 yellowfintuna 2 mackerel bonitoes and a skipjack tuna.
