Trip Summary

Our water here in the Naples /10,000 Islands area got very cold(56-58* ) during the last part of December. With warmer days and nights its rebounded to the upper 60s. With that the bite has improved daily. The Spotted Trout are showing in good numbers and size now . The sheepshead are very pleniful and the ever present mangrove snapper are back to being dependable. The redfish are still a bit off but are getting better with each day. The snook are the only ? Many have moved deeper onto the backcountry. I dont know how many died from the cold water. Not many hopefully. The forcast looks goodand the fishing better We will be fishing deeper into the backcountry as the winter season deepens.
